Making good use of free time
The school družina (after-school club) team fills the whole school year with activities, both in the school building and outside it.
We also plan activities for parents, for example družina open days and Christmas or Easter craft workshops. We usually go on trips around Christmas and Easter, and at the end of the school year we regularly go to the Toboga fun centre. We invite visitors to the school: theatre, variety shows, a mobile planetarium, Trilopark and a travelling animal ark. On the school grounds we hold sports days (not only in the sports hall), get-to-know-you afternoons, celebrate Witches' Night (čarodějnice) and cook in the small kitchen. We go out on various trails around Chýně, to the rope park, to Višňovka, and to see the animals near the nursery school.
Every Thursday from 14:00 to 16:00 all groups take part in a shared activity, depending on the weather (in the school building, the hall, the school playground or off the school grounds).
The section "Weekly activity plans" gives summaries of what happens in the družina.
Basic information
The družina follows Decree No. 74/2005 Coll., on leisure-time education, as amended. This decree is the basis for the družina rules. The družina rules are part of the school rules, which you can find on the school website under documents.
The družina is run by Simona Pospíšilová. You can email or call her: pospisilova.simona@zschyne.cz , tel: 702 155 417
The družina provides leisure-time education for pupils of the přípravná třída (preparatory class) and Years 1–5. Pupils are divided into 5 groups, which use the Years 1–5 classrooms. You can find out where each group is on the school website in the Družina section, or from the caretaker at the entrance. In exceptional cases (a doctor's appointment or another event) you can, of course, collect your child at other times after agreeing it with the group leader.
The družina follows its own internal rules.
The application form for the družina, the form for leaving the družina and the request for pick-up chips can be downloaded from the school documents.

The morning družina in the building at Za Školou 55 runs from 7.00 to 7.45, on the ground floor in the classroom next to the cloakrooms (for classes 1.A, B, C and PT – the preparatory class).
When children arrive at the družina, they always report to the group leader.
The afternoon družina takes place in the school building at Bolzanova 800.
From 12:05 to 14:00, when lessons end, the group leader collects the pupils from their teacher in their classroom and they go together to their družina room. Then come washing hands and lunch together with the group leader, followed by rest time and relaxing games. For organisational reasons, children can only be collected between 13:30 and 14:00. From 14:00 to 15:00 there is a planned activity on a theme, or time outside the school building (please dress your child as you see fit). Please do not collect children during this time. 15:00–17:00: snack, a mix of quiet and active play, and preparation for lessons.
How to take your child out of the družina
To take your child out of the družina, fill in the "Form for leaving the school družina" (in the school documents) and give the original to your child's group leader, or put it in the school letterbox addressed to Simona Pospíšilová (head of the družina). If you bought the chips in or after September 2023, the deposit is refunded if the chips are undamaged and working. If you bought them earlier, the deposit is not refundable. You can hand in the chips in the same way as the form for leaving the družina.

Collecting children
Children are collected from the družina using the Bellhop chip system (you can find the chip request on the school website; one chip costs CZK 100; if you are interested, contact the head of the družina). If a child is to leave on their own, give a note (child's name, date and time they will leave alone, and signature of the parent or guardian), or send a written message in Škola Online (the school's online system) to the group leader by 11:00 on that day. You can find out where each group is on the school website in the družina section, or from the caretaker at the entrance. In exceptional cases (a doctor's appointment or another event) you can, of course, collect your child at other times after agreeing it with the group leader. For organisational reasons, please collect children after lunch from 13:30.
Clubs during družina time
Clubs that take place during družina time are held in the school. If your child attends a club during družina time, please write a note with: your child's name, the name of the club, the day of the club, its start and end time, and whether your child goes back to the družina afterwards. The club leader collects the child from the družina group and brings them back after the club. To take your child out of a club, do the same (a note to the group leader). Communication between the club leader and parents is not passed on to the družina staff.
